Well after a long time we have put some of the best photos from our wedding up on flickr for all to see. There are some brilliant shots of everyone and they really show how much fun everyone including us had!

Well, the lady birds are getting closer and people are arriving in fact we are flat out.  We iced our cake today and I swear I will forever appreciate the work involved in getting a fruit cake looking as pretty as they do.  I awarded myself a D, marks for effort the only thing holding back an F.

We are getting closer and closer to the end of our time here in Italia.  Vilija finished work on Monday last week and I on friday.  Its a strange feeling, though I am very thankful to have the time to hang out with people as they arrive.

For those in Australia wanting to have a drink with us, if you are near a glass to champagne at 6:45pm on Friday,  fill it up and have a BIG swigg for us!  By then the carefully managed stage show will be in full swing (shortly later I plan on joining it swaying )

We are off to the Maldives and Sri Lanka for 2.5 weeks afterwards, then back to Italia to say ciao ciao and then back in Oz towards the start of June.  We will try our hardest to get some photos up this weekend.

In the mean time, here is our jaunt to Monaco lastWednesday.

Another catholic holiday yesterday gave us another long weekend this week. We are now on the train off to Milano for an explore. Given that last time we were there it was deserted, we are hoping that two weekends before Christmas it should have a bit more life.

This week has seen the arrival of some wet and wild weather. Unfortunately for those who headed to the mountains this weekend it didn’t bring much snow. The damp weather has, however, aided our house to develop a personality of its own. During autumn spots of mold appeared on the walls of our place and roughly once a month I got the chlorine spray out to clean them. Over the last month, these small patches have developed into living organisms complete with their own volunteer conservation groups shackled to our walls for their protection. (more…)

Having spent the last few weekends doing things like updating the website (why?? Because I could Don’t you think it looks good??) its been a little while since we have actually added content so here goes.

After a period of slackness on our behalf about 2 weeks ago Vilija calculated that it is roughly 5 months till our wedding next year. At first I thought that was wrong, maybe it was calculated using the American date system (5th of April) instead of the normal system (4th of May) but in fact it is right. This lead to a renewed effort on our behalf to get things organised. (more…)

Well, to day has been a great day. I have come back to Australia to come the Family event of the Year. Grandma’s 80th Birthday, Grandma & Grandpa’s 60th Wedding Anniverary and Dad’s Brithday. I have uploaded some photos from the big event for those that are interested.

It was a great day, excessive amount of food consumed by all as usual and many funny stories.

Hello everyone again.This is my first update since I popped back to OZ for a visit. To say that it was a jammed packed and eventful trip is a slight understatement. In the space of two weeks we managed to;

- Get engaged
- Get my working visa sorted. (Again a HUGE thank you to all those that worked behind the scenes to defeat the infamous Italian bureaucracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
- Get Vilija’s British citizenship which removes the need to obtain an Italian visa for Vilija
- Get away to the Yarra Valley for a small holiday
- And many smaller bits and pieces. (more…)
